11 Second Club - Animations

September 2008 - ------- (Rated: 3.33)
Well after a solid critique last month I am tackling this month with renewed vigour.  Rather than the gesturing of previous attempts I am going to try to animate character.  So this time I came up with a story detailing the character of the participants and have animated as closely as I can to that story.  I did run out of time so the animation isn't as polished as I would like.

Well from the results it seems people think my Animation sucks so I might give it a rest for a while.

August 2008 - Hamming it up (Rated: 3.71)
A change for the 11 Second Club this month - we have our first foreign language dialogue.  This has forced me to do some pre-planning and I've taken some reference footage as well (and I have a little story in mind - so maybe this month will rate a little better.....)  I also opted for a change in character as the dialogue lends itself to a really expressive face and Mancandy has that in bucket loads.

July 2008 - Demolition Expert (Rated: 3.55)
Everyone else seems to want to do little stories.  I just wanted to concentrate on character animation rather than outright story telling.  I did start the character behind a desk but Kenny Roy, an Animation Mentor mentor 'suggested' that I remove the desk and see what I can do with the whole body.

Maybe I should do little stories - this one got panned.........

June 2008 - Lost in the big apple (Rated: 4.60)
With the move to Blender and the release of the Big Buck Bunny project from Peach, I decided to try my hand at animating the wonderful BBB characters.  This was good fun and I love the way these characters are rigged.

November 2004 - Exasperated (back in the 10 second club days)
Whilst waiting for Frank to critique Lesson 2, I decided to have a stab at a 10 Second Club animation exercise.  Using KeeKat (ReelFX), a free for use model on the A:M CD, I went ahead using a combination of pose to pose and straight ahead.

I had problems with the rig but after 12 hours and several passes had what I thought was a reasonable animation (my first character animation).  There are flaws but I was quite satisfied with my attempt with my current level of experience and knowledge.
