A visit to Parkes Radio Observatory

CWAS Astrofest 2007

I was invited to speak at the Central West Astronomical Society Astrofest 2007 to be held in Parkes.  My talk was presented at the Parkes Observatory itself and was entitled 'A Lazy Astronomer'  The PowerPoint presentation can be downloaded here (complete with speaking notes).

This was my first invited talk and the first time I have visited Parkes observatory.  See selected pictures below.

	From a Distance (the main road) Not much to see when it's pointed up but when the dish is pointed out to the side it's a site to behold.
